KEC Mission Statement

KEC is organized as a cooperative. It subscribes to cooperative principles and seeks to promote and support the cooperative form of enterprise.

• To fulfill its mission, KEC must attract, develop and retain qualified personnel with specialized expertise in rural electrification and related disciplines.
• KEC’s primary focus is in helping its member-systems to maintain or, if possible, to improve their competitive positions as electric utilities.
• KEC exists to accomplish through collective action those tasks which its member-systems cannot do as efficiently or effectively by themselves.
• KEC will provide leadership, coordination, and support to its member-systems and also serve as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among its members.
