March 28, 2008
The KEC Loss Control Safety and Compliance Department will be hosting a PCB Compliance Seminar:
The number of trainees will be limited to 30. The workshop will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for enrollment will be May 2, 2008.
The benefits of this training seminar are two-fold. First, to address the PCB regulations in a concise manner, making compliance and record keeping easier and simplified for those involved, and second, to reduce the potential risk of violations and enforcement actions from an EPA inspection. The instructor will cover “hot-topic” issues that the EPA frequently cites electric utilities for “non compliance”.
Seminar topics will include:
§ Record keeping requirements and inspections for PCB items. § Requirements for PCB Annual Document Logs. § Marking and labeling requirements. § “Storage for reuse” and “Storage for disposal” requirements. § Physical requirements for PCB storage facilities. § Oil spill response and cleanup procedures.
The presenter will be Matt Miles of Environmental Compliance Solutions (ECS). Matt formed ECS in 1987 specializing in PCB regulations. Through his PCB compliance audits and training programs, Matt has trained more than 1,200 utility personnel and provided assistance to more than 350 electric utilities to properly comply with the PCB regulations.
We feel that this seminar will be a great benefit to your compliance program. To see the workshop agenda and to enroll, click on the links below:
