The KEC Communications Department includes publications, communications, and activities developed to bring about understanding and support of the rural electric program by the general public, members, and employees of Kansas electric cooperatives.
Communications personnel work to build a strong and effective relationship between KEC, its member systems, and potential members. The Communications Department is responsible for producing Kansas Country Living magazine and member cooperative centerspread inserts. The Department also handles advertising sales for the magazine, as well as the statewide Directory.
KEC Communications also produces the Rural Power newsletter, the KEC Directory, and the KEC public relations program. KEC Publishing Services, Youth Tour, Director/Employee Education, statewide vendor Expo, KEC website and Crisis Communications are all part of the overall KEC Communications Department.
